Quartzite Adsorption Columns
Project: Quartzite Gold Mine - Adsorption Columns:
Kazreti, Republic of Georgia
AES was retained to prepare detailed designs for a 1,500 gpm activated carbon adsorption circuit for an expansion at the Quartzite Gold Mine. This circuit consists of 5 cascading columns containing 4 tonnes of 6 X 16 mesh activated carbon. Carbon transfer is by pumps. The columns are designed for the AES baffle plate and bubble cap.
The project team that was assembled for execution of the design was as follows:
Geoff Allard, P.E. - Technical oversight, process, piping and mechanical design.
DAMA Engineering, Ankara, Turkey - Local liaison; supervision of civil and structural design.
